General rules for betting and game play

These Betting and Game Rules apply whenever you use a game, place a bet, make a spin or join a live table through your account with us. You must also follow our other applicable account terms, the instructions displayed in the cashier and any game-specific rules shown before or during play.

Your account and responsibility

You may hold and use only one account with us. An account must be opened in your own name and used only by you. You must keep your login details secure and must not allow another person to access your account or place bets for you. If we identify duplicate accounts, shared access, inaccurate information or other account concerns, we may restrict play, suspend the affected account or take other action permitted by our terms.

You are responsible for checking the details of each wager before confirming it. This includes the game, stake, selection, number of lines or hands, and any other options shown on screen. You must have enough available balance for the stake. A bet is accepted only when our system confirms it and the stake is removed from the relevant balance.

Real-money and bonus-balance play

Where both balances are available, the game will use funds in the order and manner shown in the game or cashier. Real-money funds and bonus funds may be subject to different conditions. Bonus funds can only be used in accordance with the bonus terms that apply to them, including any qualifying deposit, wagering, expiry, maximum stake or withdrawal conditions.

Once a bet is placed and accepted, it is final. You cannot cancel, amend or withdraw it after acceptance. If a transaction is interrupted before acceptance, the system may not record a bet. You should check your account balance and transaction history rather than placing the same bet again immediately.

  • Do not place a bet if you are unsure of the stake or the game conditions.
  • Do not use funds that you cannot afford to lose.
  • The minimum and maximum stakes available to you are shown in the relevant game or betting screen.
  • You must be aged 18 or over to use our gambling services.

Keep play within your limits

You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or request self-exclusion through the options made available in your account. Information and support are also available from GambleAware, GamCare, GamStop and the National Gambling Helpline.

How bets and spins are settled

Each game uses a technical system to generate and record its outcomes. For casino games, the result recorded by the game server is the result used to settle the bet. The result displayed in the game, account history or other transaction record may be used to identify the relevant round.

The outcome shown by the game server is final, subject to the malfunction provisions in these rules. This means that an outcome cannot be changed because of a different expectation, a misunderstanding of the game, a delayed display or a failure to notice the result before leaving the game.

Game instructions and paytables

The in-game rules, paytable, symbols, winning combinations and feature instructions apply to each game. You should read them before placing a bet, particularly where a game has special rounds, changing stake levels, bonus features, progressive elements or different ways to win. If the game includes a help panel, the information shown there forms part of the conditions for that game.

The return-to-player figure, where applicable, is shown in each game. This figure is a long-term statistical indication and does not predict the return from an individual session, spin or bet. It does not guarantee a win or a particular result.

Winnings are credited according to the applicable paytable and the stake or bet configuration used for the round. A displayed win may be subject to the game completing the round and the result being recorded by our systems. Account balances and transaction records may take a short time to update after a completed game.

  1. Select the game and read its instructions.
  2. Choose the stake and any available game options.
  3. Confirm the bet or spin only after checking the details.
  4. Allow the round to finish and check the result shown by the game.
  5. If the game is interrupted, wait for reconnection before taking further action.

What happens when a game malfunctions

A malfunction can include a technical fault, incorrect display, failure of the game to operate as intended, interruption in the recording of a round or an error in the calculation or presentation of an outcome. A slow connection, device issue or temporary loss of service may also prevent the normal display of a game, although this does not by itself change a correctly recorded result.

If a malfunction affects a game or a round, the affected play and any pays arising from that malfunction are void. This includes an incorrect win, loss, bonus feature, balance change or other result created by the fault. We will use the available technical records to identify the affected transaction and make any necessary account correction.

A malfunction does not create a right to a payment that would not have been due under the game rules. Where a stake has been taken for an affected round, the treatment of that stake will depend on the technical record, the status of the round and the applicable game rules.

Disconnected games and unfinished rounds

If you lose connection, close the game or leave the page before a round is complete, do not place a replacement bet straight away. Reconnect to the same game or sign in again when possible. A disconnected game may resume from the point at which it stopped, or it may settle automatically on reconnection. The game server record determines whether the round was accepted, completed, cancelled or settled.

If the game does not reconnect or your balance does not show the expected status, record the approximate time and contact support before trying to recreate the round. We may ask for details of the game, device or connection so that the transaction can be traced.

Rules for bonus play

Bonus funds are not the same as unrestricted cash funds. Each offer has bonus terms that explain who can use it, how it is activated, which games qualify, how wagering is counted, whether a maximum stake applies and when the bonus or any associated winnings expire. Those terms apply in addition to these Betting and Game Rules.

A maximum bet may apply while bonus funds or bonus-related winnings are in use. The maximum can apply to the total stake, a single spin, a hand, a round or another betting unit, depending on the relevant bonus terms. You must check the terms before playing and must not exceed the stated limit.

Game contributions and wagering

Games may contribute different amounts towards a bonus wagering requirement. The contribution for each eligible game is shown in the applicable bonus terms or account information. A game that is available on the site is not necessarily eligible for a particular bonus, and some bets or features may be excluded from the calculation.

If you use bonus funds in a way that breaches the bonus terms, we may remove the bonus and any associated winnings to the extent allowed by those terms. We may also return your account to the balance that would have applied without the breach. Any such action will take account of the available transaction and game records.

You should look at the bonus balance, remaining wagering requirement and expiry information in your account before placing further bets. If the terms conflict with a general game instruction, the specific bonus terms control the bonus conditions, while the game rules continue to control the operation and outcome of the game.

Live casino and table-game rules

Live casino games and other table games operate under the rules displayed in the relevant table's help section. These rules explain the available bets, minimum and maximum stakes, dealing procedure, betting periods, payouts, side bets, interruption process and any special conditions for that table. You must read the table information before joining a game.

The dealer or table system conducts the game in accordance with the applicable table rules. Dealer decisions, announced outcomes and the official table record are used to settle bets. If the table provides a result or hand history, you should use it to confirm the outcome before leaving the session.

Betting periods and late bets

Bets must be placed during the betting period shown by the table. A bet is accepted only when the table system confirms it before betting closes. A request made near the end of a betting period may not be accepted, even if it appears on your screen for a short time. If a bet is late, rejected or not confirmed, it will not be treated as an accepted wager.

Once the table confirms a bet, it is final and cannot be changed or cancelled unless the applicable table rules provide otherwise. If a live stream, connection or display is delayed, the official table record remains the basis for settlement. Where a table is interrupted, the game may resume, settle or be voided in line with its specific help information.

Different tables can use different procedures for ties, cancelled rounds, insurance, side bets and incomplete hands. Always follow the rules for the particular table rather than assuming that a condition from another game applies.

How to raise a dispute about a bet or game

If you believe a bet, spin, round or table hand has not settled correctly, contact us as soon as possible at support@goldriverstar-casino.co.uk or through the live chat on the site. We will look into the available account, transaction and game records and explain the outcome to you.

Information to include

  • The game or table name.
  • The approximate date and time of the bet or round.
  • The round, hand, spin or transaction reference, if one is shown.
  • The stake, balance movement and result you expected.
  • A clear description of what happened, including any error message or disconnection.

Please send the information from the email address registered to your account where possible. Do not send your password, full payment details or security codes. We may ask for additional information needed to identify your account or verify the transaction.

We use the game server record, table record, account history and other technical information available to us when handling a dispute. A result is not changed solely because the screen displayed something different from the recorded outcome, because a connection was interrupted or because you did not see the final result. If a malfunction is confirmed, the affected play will be handled under the malfunction rules above.

You should keep copies of any relevant account messages and provide accurate information. We will communicate through the contact details available on your account or through the support channel you used. Nothing in these rules removes any rights you may have under applicable law or the other terms governing your account with us.
